WHY HAS CHRISTIANITY BECOME SO COMPLICATED IN OUR DAYS?

PART I
Perhaps we are in the last days to which Jesus referred in Luke 18:8-9. "I tell you...when the Son of Man comes, will He find Faith on earth? To som who trusted in their own righteousness and viewed others with contempt....". The ulfilment of that era may have come - evidemce that the rapture may actually be very much at our door steps. Why has following Christ become so complicated in our days? And do we still have true Christianity [Biblical Christianity] as earlier delivered to us by men and women of faith and vision from God?

True Christianity is never meant to be complicated as we now have it. Salvation that Jesus provides is without encumberance and is never complicated. The sudden complication. certainly cannot be of God. The grace of God is not complicated. Justification that comes as a result of of our faith in Jesus is not complicated. Living a holy life through our daily sanctification is not complicated. They are all made possible by the grace and mercies of God. What have collectively complicated Christianity are the man made additions, the traditions of men in forms of the various theological convictions, doctrines, misinterpretations of the scriptures and the audacity by some to apply the scriptures to promote self and for personal gains
.
Hence the core Biblical Truths of salvation and of sound doctrines are diluted to create caricatures of Christianity. Ministers and Christian leaders are in serious blame for this overeach and by extension we're all in the blame. The basic doctrine of salvation is clear, simple, straightforward, noncomplicated.
The First step and the most important responsibility that is for us to take is to answer the admonition to come to Jesus as written in Mark 16:16. "Believe on the Lord JesusChrist. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved". No complications attached
.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16. Straightforward invitation. Every other step, following the first step, are all acts of grace made available by grace without complications.

No matter who we are and how close we may be in our relationship with the Lord, we receive from God and it's all acts of grace. We are saved by an act of grace, pronounced not guilty by an act of grace, kept holy by an act of grace and the mercies of God.

Jesus invitation is simple. "Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I'm gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light - References: Mathew 11:28-30. The Gospel that we preach and the Holy Spirit empowerment that comes with our preaching and teaching should not make Christianity a burden but instead provide the joy, the peace and contentment in Christ to continue to live for Him.

WHY HAS CHRISTIANITY BECOME SO COMPLICATED AND WHO IS TO BLAME?

More often than not, we tend to blame Ministers that have befallen the church. While this may largely be true but we're all collectively involve. All of us Christians are to blame. We are collectively responsible as christians whose responsibility it is to study the Bible diligently enough to be sure we are in the truth.

God's expectations of us are as His children is that we may all know Him. Paul says "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the Fellowship of His suffering, being made comformable unto His death" - Philippians 3:10.

Christianity is all about the Supremacy of Christ. For in Christ alone, we are reconciled by His death to present us holy, unblemished and blameless in God's presence. The Bible says "Christ has reconciled us to God. And He gave unto us also the ministry of Ministry of reconciliation. II Corinthians 5:18. That is the gospel that is for us to preach. The ministry of reconciliation. Not to create burden for others. And like Apostle Paul warned most solemnly "if even we [Paul and his other disciples and Apostles] or an Angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached, let him be under a divine curse".Let's us therefore be warned and beware of what we preach and how we interpret the gospel.
